While the rest of Broad Street in Philadelphia was having a peaceful Saturday night on October 19, The Troubadour came to town and decided to shake things up at the one and only Metropolitan Opera House.

As the crowd was building up with anticipation to see the one and only, Stephen Sanchez, the night began with two exceptional Indie/Pop musicians Bebe Stockwell and Paper Kites.

Once the audience was amped up and ready for Mr. Sanchez, ‘The Connie Co’ show brought out its very own host portrayed by Austin Caine which would then set the tone for the night. The show offered an experience of being in the 1950’s such as the set design, music and most importantly the outfits.

The best part about attending Stephen Sanchez’s live show were all of the eye-catching, vintage poodle skirts, blown out hair, and red lips which was nothing but a fifties dream come to reality. The entire theme was on point as the golden lights set the mood for a crazy, eccentric performance that was one to remember.

With his most popular songs such as ‘Until I Found You’ and starting off with ‘Evangeline’ the fans were on their toes from beginning to end, wanting more by the time of concluding his final song.

As the night was filled with mesmerizing moves, incredible vocals, and a powerful charisma, those who attended were left satisfied by Sanchez’s performance, to say the least.

I’ve been to quite a few concerts in my life however, something about stepping inside of one of my favorite eras of the 1950’s, listening to music that resembles Elvis, and the fans dressed in character, will be a night I will never forget.

Although Stephen has concluded his tour, keep a lookout for tours updated in the future, it’s something you won’t want to miss.

Keep Up With Stephen Sanchez
