This new up and coming South Jersey band is on everyone's radar for 2025. With the release of their new hit single “This Winter" , you're going to need something to get you through these winter months, and Innlet has just the cure.
Written by Charlie Justice, Hugh Brennan, Levi Miller, Matt Heitzmann and Max Di Rocco, the 5 members came together to create a song full of eccentric, rock, and lively aesthetics. I had the opportunity to get some background behind the song from the guys which puts things into a greater perspective.
“The song came at the peak of a Malcom Todd binge. I was inspired by his formula that always hit on TikTok and kinda sought out to put a spin on it. Originally, the tune was played slow and acoustic but once bringing it to the band, we implemented the lead guitar parts and sped it up. The song tells the story of a situationship wanting to become a relationship and the questions that come following that and just wanting someone to help you overcome the seasonal depression that comes with the winter. I [Levi] always think of it as kinda of cringe but at the same, it’s something that many people resonate with.” says Levi Miller of the track.
"But she gone telling me
Darlin it's been a year
Quit hesitating lets make things clear
But I just need to know
Will you be there for me in the winter this year?"
The song has a variety of slow and delicate melodies while shifting into a rock-based anthem getting a taste of each bass, guitar, drum, and trumpet beat. The melodies from each instrument bring together the whole song, especially after the chorus ends. The catchy lyrics and beat keeps the audience reeled in, wanting to sing along and longing for more from the song. This is one of those songs that when you begin listening to never want it to end and once you get to the middle of the song, you think its going to end but there’s even more to the song than anticipated. The song continues to get better and catchier as it goes on with Heitzman’s guitar solos, Miller’s raspy and captivating vocals, Hugh’s masterful talent on the trumpet, Justice’s dexterity on the bass and Di Rocco’s passion on the drums.
With support from Innlet’s fanbase, these guys are continuing to grow more than ever. With up to 16,578 listeners a month, Innlet will be a name you just can’t forget.
You can keep up with the band and don’t miss out on all their upcoming projects they have in store for 2025 here.
